Hi There
As Co-Founder and CEO, Abdallah Abdulrahim leads Peace for Sudan’s strategic vision and humanitarian response. Drawing on extensive experience in education and humanitarian work, he is committed to empowering vulnerable communities and advancing lasting peace and dignity for the people of Sudan.
Abdallah Abdulrahim
I graduated from the Faculty of General Education at the University of Zalingei and worked as a teacher for ten years in both primary and secondary schools in Sudan.
From 2007 to 2015, I volunteered with several international and United Nations organizations in internally displaced persons (IDP) camps across Darfur. Through this work, I contributed to educational, community development, and humanitarian initiatives aimed at supporting displaced populations and communities affected by conflict.
My involvement in humanitarian work, combined with my direct experience serving refugees and asylum seekers, inspired me to co-found Peace for Sudan. The ongoing conflict in Sudan has caused immense suffering, including displacement, loss of life, family separation, and the destruction of livelihoods. Working closely with Sudanese refugees and asylum seekers, particularly in the United Kingdom, has given me firsthand insight into these challenges and strengthened my commitment to supporting those affected.
What began as a response to urgent humanitarian needs has evolved into a long-term mission to assist Sudanese communities both inside and outside Sudan, promote resilience, empower vulnerable groups, and contribute to community-led solutions.
Our vision is for Peace for Sudan to become a leading humanitarian organization that delivers meaningful and sustainable impact, helping to build a future founded on peace, dignity, justice, and stability for all Sudanese people.
